It was a beautiful thread too, Tip. I actually posed a question to people, because I've never fully gotten into acoustic guitar. It's something I need to work on, so to speak. That intimacy of which you speak with the acoustic guitar is something I feel with the piano. There is just something about the vibration of the strings, the way the smooth ivory glides against my fingers, the way the pedals feel against my feet, that makes playing it such an intimate and personal experience. Maybe I just need to learn guitar. Thoughts?

You must have missed the bit in the ToS which explains that threads written in cryptic pseudo-mystic bullshit, invariably semi-capitalised with no evident logic, and lacking grammatical sense, tend to get ignored or deleted.

You are too kind, my friend. hug

That's what distinguishes "The Truth" from "One Nite Alone" for me. I like both albums a lot, but I LOVE ONA because it just seems so intimate, probably due to my own experiences with the piano. Both are incredibly personal and stripped down, which I love, but I need to get past my misunderstanding of acoustic guitar before I can fully appreciate "The Truth."

Whoa! This is a bit strong! I've seen a lot of threads stay that seemed a bit cryptic to me, although still interesting and food for thought (as I recall the acoustic guitar thread wasn't written as you describe above anyway). And I've seen a lot of really silly or argumentative threads that remain and grow to ridiculous proportions, IMO. So I don't think you've got a valid point here. Also, "no evident logic"?? - just because you (or me or anyone) doesn't see someone else's logic, doesn't mean it isn't logical or brilliant or worthy of remaining as a thread.

Moonbean, I love how you describe your love of the piano. I took a few piano lessons a couple years ago & I truly love the sounds when I practice my "beginners" songs and the wonderful feeling that moves through me. I'm gonna get back to practicing more regularly. Thanks!

Why do you (and other people who have replied on this thread) think that I am attacking what you wrote or the style in which it was written?

Your original question asked why your thread was deleted. You passed comment and opinion speculating on why that might be, and I offered similar speculation. I observed that your posts are written in a specific style and merely speculated that perhaps that may be why it was deleted. In describing your style I did not say anything that was untruthful.

The best way to find the reason for the thread's removal would be to post a question in then pronce.org diuscussion forum or mail the Moderators direct and ask them.

(Given that you asked me a question directly, I will amswer. I believe I can usually see truth in what people say or write. As personal preferences go. the truth I value most is that which is so beautiful it doesn't dress itself up in pretension - but that's my choice.)

I've no objection to anything that is 'food for thought'.

I said 'evident logic.' I never claimed that SingMia's threads lacked logic, and I never suggested that because they could be read like this they should be deleted. I made no comment on a thread's value, be it in term's of 'brilliance' or 'worthiness', or whatever. I merely speculated on why it was removed. I don't claim to know. I'm as confused as the originator as to why the thread disappeared, but the most direct way of finding out is to ask the moderators.
