I really suggest reading this poem he (the pharaoh) supposedly wrote, the so-called Anthem to the Sun. I have it in a book, couldn't find it online. It's full of mercy for the whole world, describing this divinity as the Sun that shines on everyone. In my interpretation it fits so well as the concept which is exactly the opposite of NATO (which we can see as army protection, basically).

Of course, everyone interprets things it in their own way.

Lots of great ones already mentioned. Did Prince write the lyrics to Solo? Or did Hwang? I think those are some of his best lyrics ever if they're Prince's.

I like it because its double meaning. 1) the lights themselves are ugly. and 2) *the one he means here* is that when lights come on you can see how your partner looks... so you can see how ugly they really are... (everybody's inspected).

To me, one of his best lyrics is the Trojan horse/condom metaphor in Little Red Corvette. And it's brilliant how the metaphor is extended in the next verse with the "jockeys that were there before me..." line. It's dirty, but it's absolutely brilliant.

What makes that one for me is the "But you are a natural beauty unaffected / Did I say an hour--my face is red--I stand corrected". He's running so many lines that he's contradicting himself (earlier he'd said she must have taken an hour "just to make up her face"). He's not that smooth--or is he? Is it just a ploy so that he can play that he's not a player, just an overwhelmed boy?
