Last Prince song you heard while shopping?

For me it's the full version of Alphabet Street...I walked into my local Shoprite supermarket the other day and was shocked to hear it on the radio feed, both because it was the full version, and because it's a modest hit that "oldies" radio seems to have forgotten entirely.

Of course, this may very well have been a satellite or muzak channel, in which case all bets are off, as they can be far more interesting than regular radio.

RnR Love Affair - The Co-Op

It's on all the time in the UK, in heavy rotation.

I'm sure it'll be the same with Screwdriver as that's Purple Music as well.

I heard and enjoyed "Rock and Roll Love Affair" while shopping at Whole Foods Market in Dallas on Tuesday.

I also heard "Chelsea Rodgers" being played loud at Movie Trading CO. store in Dallas about 2 weeks ago.

Very interesting so far- Glad to see R&RLA getting lots of love, and surprised as well!

Based on my experience, it's almost always Kiss or Little Red Corvette, somtimes 1999.

And by shopping, I mean Dunkin Donuts etc, anyplace you might have heard him.

A few years ago, when I was still in the grips of my Chipotle obsession, I heard "Chelsea Rodgers," "Lion of Judah" and "Mr. Goodnight" almost every time I was eating a burrito. On a side note, I never liked "Lion of Judah" until I heard it while indulging my burrito obsession ... now I think it's a pretty awesome (if somewhat muted) song.

Just last week I got to hear the whole Prince Piano CD from One Night Alone box while on vacation in Italy. I was absolutely stunned . My wife and I had ducked into a small cafe , mostly to get out of a rain storm. We were in a very beautiful part of Venice and I was taken by the beauty of everything around me ; The cafe, the views, the rainstorm, the food. So, it took me almost 20 munutes to realize that the beautiful piano music playing in the backround was Prince. It was a great treat because I had never gotten to hear the whole cd before since I couldn't afford the box when it came out and it became super expensive on Ebay and in second hand shops. The funny part to me was that we were in a part of Venice where mostly locals live and almost no one inside spoke more than a few words of English. Yet, here was the owner of the place playing some obscure Prince CD in its entirity.

The Kroger supermarket I go to plays the full version of Musicology in their loop. I've heard it playing several times in the past year or so. I always crack a smile while shopping when it comes on and I find myself mouthing the lyrics walking up and down the isles.

I was at a Valero gas station around the corner from my work...about a month ago. Got out of the car and they were playing "Musicology". I looked around because I thought someone was playing it in their car, but it was playing on the gas stations sound system.
