Yes. Now the only way for anyone who wasn't a member to hear them is illegally downloading them or buying a bootleg - way to go Prince!

I would of course have to budget myself, so therefore prioritise which songs I'd drop, so in theory I'd hope to get everything, but wishing to also enjoy then I'd allow about $10 a week and listen to them for that week before looking for the next set.

Lossless? Yes. And I would even buy tracks that I already found "somewhere else". Official lossless versions - all day long.

LOL Excellent point!
I would prefer to have an "album" or collection of something Prince feels is the best representation of where he is at a given moment.
I'm not a huge bootlegger because I tend to think there is a reason those songs have not been released. Over the course of my lifetime, I suppose, yes, I would like to see it all get released as we've seen with, say, Beatles, Nirvana, etc....or Miles Davis, Bach, Beethoven, if you prefer!
But Prince is still making music and I am more interested in that than mediocre old songs. My Legacy

I'd likely not buy every track, but I still happen upon the occasional gem ripped from "the vault." 88 cents seems do-able.
And altogether inaudable quality notwithstanding, I really don't mind the imperfection of demos, rehearsals, etc. I'm far more interested in compositions -- or even intriguing, incomplete portions of them -- than polished production. [Edited 2/9/13 6:20am] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Yes I would buy vault tracks at 0.88 cents. I have heard a lot of the vault stuff. Some are better than others but most I would consider works in progress. If any of them were going to be on an album I am sure Prince would have put his "quality control" focus on them and they would have been tweaked and perfected before their official release.
That said I would like to see Prince release vault stuff and also any vault stuff he wants to revamp for 2013. It seems his latest band and associates like his back catalog enough that they have inspired him to bring back some classics; i.e. The Dance Electric. Maybe he has some surpises for us and I am thankful for whatever he releases.

I highly doubt that. almost all of his albums from the mid to late '90s onwards are bricked when you look at the waveform. can't remember exactly where it started, but this has been going on for a very long time and it's not these 4 mp3s that started it.

Of course.
If he decided to release (again?) 'Empty Room', I'd buy it in a flash.

Number 10 is worth $88 by itself, but yes I would pay 88 cents for those gems, as you could choose which ones you don't want and I am sure they would do a discount if you bought lots of them. Have most of them thanks to the Princes Ivalut series of annual albums.
Listen to these jams a lot, numbers 1 to 36 are superb, missing from the list are Fuschia Light, People with out and The Sex of it. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I'm a completionist/completist (?) so yes, I'd get everything just to have an archive. Now whether or not I'd play it all frequently (if at all), that's a different question that I'd probably answer by saying no. How can someone buy "mediocre" material? On a "legal", registered site, the music posted to be downloaded can be, but Only HQ quality Otherwise, mediocre means kind of a Bootleg... We make our own way to heaven everyday

I dunno. Go over to iTunes and listen to a couple of the original versions that Rosie Gaines sells of "Hit U In The Socket" and "I Want U" .... sounds like they come from a cleaned up multi-generation tape.
but as I'm sure you know, the OP is referring to the quality of the songs. not the quality of the recording or conversion.
