INSATIABLE/LIVE 4 LOVE DEMOS [Diamonds & Pearls sessions]

Dear .Org,

I've just revisted the INSATIABLE demo (8.05) and what an exquisitive vocal performance from 2 minutes 35 seconds onwards (unfortunately edited out of the album version). I would also highly recommend listening to the LIVE 4 LOVE (7.03) demo for a seriously haunting and anguished performance.

love,

Spirit

I always saw Insatiable as a Scandalous part 4. Good song though

Work It etc.

I recently listened to the Live 4 Love out-take and I'd forgot how good it was, can't say I've listened to Insatiable in forever - there's some good stuff from that era in general though, a lot of good circulating tracks.

And some awful ones - The Flow, Something Funky This House Comes, Daddy Pop... egad. D&P could've been a real mess.

Yes, I particularly enjoy ALLEGIANCE from around that era, as well as GET BLUE.

billymeade,

Have you heard the phenomenal concert opening of SOMETHING FUNKY THIS HOUSE COMES from the Rio de Janeiro festival performances in January, 1991? It's got that delicious Michael B. and Sonny T. rhythm section rumbling underneath the groove.

love,

Spirit

Get Blue is a great song. It would've been a nice addition to D&P, symbol, or Come.

Yes!! Totally dig that opening, very groovy indeed. That tour bore me to pieces though. D&P Era least favorite. I do dig the Thieves in The Temple/It segue though.

I with you two on Get Blue & Allegiance. I would love to hear his versions of these released, my card is waiting to click send at Amazon or wherever he chooses to release them. This version of Insatiable is to die for as well.
