Y'know...I wonder if he didn't have it because he knew he'd have to walk down those stairs. He didn't wear heels, either - as he usually would for an awards show. Walking down stairs in high heels is tricky, especially if you have any kind of frailty in your knees or hips. Walking down stairs in high heels with shades on? Forget about it.

Still, I don't think the cane had a rubber tip on it - so he can't be that bad off.

I have mixed feelings about seeing Prince on the Grammys. On one hand It was nice to see the love and respect he still receives from his fellow musicians and long time fans but on the other hand i wish prince was more relevant to today's music. It's like people are just itching to see him get big again. I understand that prince doesn't like to look backwards but if he was willing to compromise( just a little) with Warner bros, concerning some remasters, maybe getting on a major label(short term)and possibly revisiting some of his more creative periods, then maybe he could open himself up to a whole new set of fans and stardom. I'm just a long time fan and don't know the guy or know how he conducts business so this is just my opinion.

Anyway, as far as the way prince looks. The man looks extremely good. He's gonna be another dick clark. Also the dude is cool as fuk !

I was so happy to see Prince on the Grammy's...it's the only reason I watched! I thought he looked absolutely smashing and his swag was off the charts!! People were so excited to see him there, so full of anticipation of what he would say, how he would say it, if he would take the sunglasses off...and when he did women INSTANTLY reacted...he's incredible!! Gotye and the girl with him were buggin out as well....they said thank you to him for presenting them with the award!! It's too much to handle...

prince was super cool at the grammys and all .. but lets be real .. that gotye song is better than anything prince has done in 20 years .. i was rootin for them and there super cool nod to prince as much as prince in his cool ness and .. i love that song .. remark ... i hope prince takes some musical notes on that song .. no cursing no sex .. just a great song .. prince you need to deliver a great song .. yup .. u still got the look but not the chops .. time to step up and stop making chumps of those who still prop you up .. screwdriver is no "somebody that i used to know" not even in the ball park

sure there was plenty of garbage on the grammys that even prince bad stuff is slightly more amusing .. i may listen to a prince song once and a carrie underwood song like only 10 seconds .. but they are both rubbish .. come on prince .. give us the good stuff .. make everything Gotye said and did in respect of prince mean something again
