I love how Gotye and Kimbra were squirting all over each other that Prince presented them with the award. They seemed mroe excited by him than the actual award.

And it was quite nice that before reading out the winner Prince said, "Ohhh....I LOVE this song!"

I don't know if any of you caught the whole introduction to him, but LL Cool J started announcing him as "the artist--" and I kind of cringed because every variation of that that I have ever heard is rude and mocks him in a way that he has stated that he clearly does not appreciate. But he said "The Artist Forever Known as Prince" and I thought that was the most respectful thing he could have said..maybe even more so than if he would have just called him by his actual name. I thought that just by using the word "forever" he basically called him a legend, and someone who will forever live on throughout history. So props to whoever wrote that.

Good that they gave the award to Gotye and not just any spud. He made the best pop song of the year and actually getting an award for it shows that there might be some hope left for the industry. Cool for Prince to state that he likes the song too.

i thought sexy mf was odd because not only is it a song prince refuses to perform anymore .. but another 2 seconds of it and it would have been beeped by censors .. and all the hubbub about not weary too sexy of clothes and all that .. tho every single woman had her boobs out .. even alicia keys .. and aside from the chorus .. its kinda clumsy song and not his best moment .. i loved that he loved the gotye song .. which was truly the best song of the year and a damn good song at that .. and gotye showed great respect too .. it was a magical exchange and probably the highlight of the grammys .. too bad ll ended the show instead of a prince performance .. since when do ll and jt get to promo new music on the grammys .. thats just not right ..
