that mechanical, uninteresting beat made this one of my least favorite songs at the time. but in retrospect, the vocals are very cool.

^ mechanical. it has it's own charm. the whole thing. no reefer. almost at pheromone.

What I like about pheromone is that the song is very descriptive and it has different interpretations depending on how dirty your mind is. At first I thought the song was about rape or something. Then I thought It could be about voyeurism...

Then, basing my theory on the part that says "What happens next it all depends upon your style" I could say that the whole couple having sex/Prince watching thing is nothing but a Fantasy. Maybe Prince is the one who's watching and the one who's banging the girl at the same time, who knows...

Yes, I love the groove n funk of this song too! Makes me wanna dance, even if I dont feel like. Banging funk like other 90s songs of his, like Gett Off, The Max, Sexy MF, My Name Is Prince, Pussy Control and Billy Jack Bitch. All 90s Prince style bombastic funk/dance songs. Love them all!

I always love the come album, I did then, I do now. Love the vibe. Because of this thread I put the CD in and listen to the whole album.

Pheromone is a fun song.

Exactly. You can still dig that song even If you think that the lyrics are too agressive, that's what I like about the song and the whole album!
