Should I be getting excited? As I am relatively new to prince fandom, I find myself getting rather excited at the prospect of new things this year. I have just discovered the new website and am loving the thought of prince having a direct output source. The trouble is that there is so much disappointment from previous letdowns from the purple one that i'm almost waiting for the barrage of crap that a lot of people on here seem to revel in. Am I right to be getting my hopes up? This will be my first experience new music coming out as nothing really new has been released in the last few years of me being interested. In your opinions, will this year hold good things or not? | |

purplethunder3121 is right! It's been 3 weeks into the year and we already have been given 7 free tunes - that's almost a full album, for free (plus the handful of tunes from last year!). If nothing else happens, that's more than 90% of artists out there are doing.
So, enjoy the ride, be excited! Just don't expect a key to the Vault |

Yea get excited, but not too excited. Prince's definition of big things in 2013 and our definition, are 2 wayyy different things.  Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews. | |

Back-n-da-day the excitement was buying a new LP!that big black vinyl thing &; putting the needle on it & hearing this amazing new music. No website can ever recreate that. So if he doesn't want to do albums, just drop songs...than some of the excitement goes away...    [Edited 1/26/13 14:33pm] | |
