Sometimes It Snows In April? Is that a song about someone in Under The Cherry Moon?
Or somebody Prince actually knew?
Or is it just a fictional song?

As far as I know it was just about the Christopher Tracy character and that's all there is 2 it. A much loved song among fans, but personally I never cared much for it until he did a beautiful version of it in Arnhem, Holland in 2010. | |

Right. As far as we know it's simply about Prince's character in the movie. It's one of those tracks fans wonder about because it does seem honest and touches people.
I've said this on here before, but it's very homo-erotic - erotic is not the right word since the relationship it most closely brings to mind is one of a man losing his partner to AIDS, given the time it was recorded/released. Not saying anything, just that it works on that level, and a million others like all beautiful songs. | |
