Absoulutely. I was a freshman at New York University in 1982 and had this poster and also a poster of Michael Jackson on my dorm wall. My roommate would take both posters down from the wall when I would go home to visit my girlfriend at the time.

Rick Rubin lived in the dorm one floor below me when he was running Def Jam Records out of his room.

I had the longbox of this in my locker in high school. Also a cut-out of the symbol from the Symbol-album longbox. I miss longboxes.

I had a framed, 80's white lace, with big hair poster. I was warned to take down my beloved poster because of earthquakes. It was right over my bed and not safe in case of an earthquake.

I wasn't into Prince then.

Matter of fact, my father was stationed in (West)Germany around that time. We were at the base BX and I saw this album cover in the stax. I was just looking. My father walked up behind me and said, "Don't even think about it."

Some time later, I started hearing songs from 1999 on the jukebox at the base bowling alley and looked into who Prince was. We were transfered back to the States shortly after. My older sister came to visit. She had 1999 on cassette and I basically stole it from her, but she got it back before she left.

Then Purple Rain came out. I got that lp plus 1999 & Controversy. I had several Prince posters up in my room that my dad would make me take down when my grandparents would come to visit.

But never the shower poster. I didn't even know about that poster until I came to the .org. It took me YEARS to go back and listen to Prince's first couple of albums and then I didn't like them so much. Now I very much do.

I'm 17. i do have the poster, but not on the wall.... i want to keep it nice. i have the poster with the vinyl. so i like to keep it all complete.

I love this space and those posters are so classy looking in those frames. The fact theres nothing else cluttering the walls works well too.

Confess? Hell, I thought having that poster on your wall as a teen was a requirement.

I had it on the wall over my bed and I slept at the foot of my bed all through my teens, so it'd be the first thing I saw in the morning and the last thing I saw at night.

Good times.

Never had a poster of Prince on the wall.

When I was 10 I did have a poster of Leroy from Fame on my wall.

I guess I have a thing for dark gay guys....

I had that Sign poster back in college. Rolled it for storage--mice ate one of the corners clean off, and messed up quite a bit of the rest of it.

Roommates didn't care for it.

Too bad I didn't have the Lovesexy--not that I would have put it up, but if I had threatened to, it would have shut them right up.

I used to have this picture on my wall until my mom walked into my room, and as soon as she saw it, ripped it off. Soooo, I printed another and hung it behind my door

I had two '84 posters as a teen. The one of him holding the rose, and the "alternate" Purple Rain album cover one.
