Emancipation, Crystal Ball help

So i have both albums now and they are both very long haha. Ive already listened to most of emancipation at one point or another but of couse many of the songs i either forgot about or at the time wasn't feelin. I wanna go back and relisten to that album but im afraid to do so given it's length haha. So other than face down, style, slave, betcha by golla wow, and la la means i love u because i either have good memory of these songs or already like them, wat else is worth listening to. As for crystall ball ive only listened to and remember 18 and over, days of wild, and Pussy control. I will listen to all 4 discs but if some songs are highlighted this would really help me out. Oh i also have the truth.

Screw all that above. The fact is, one Prince fan's favorites often cross over with another Prince fan's least favorites, so, you should give it ALL a spin.

Give this a try:

Consider each disc an individual album. Listen to a disc, re-listen, absorb it as you would a new album. After you've given it a few spins, you'll know which songs you love, which you don't, etc...

Then move on to the next disc, and so on.

wink

er

^That is a good idea. Who's telling you that you need to listen to all of it without interruption?I like both cd sets, but only listen to a few songs at a time, whatever I feel like. Don't make it hard on yourself!

I can undestans looking for some direction but when it comes down to it you have to listen tpo any album in its entirity and make your own decisions.

Its best that way. Don't be influenced by anyone. Some really shit tracks I have really gotten to love over the years. Thats the beauty of Prince or any artist or band with such a huge catalogue you can pick and choose any songs to fit a mood. And the beauty of iTunes and iPods (or any player) you can in minutes make a new playlist.

So lstisten to all albums and then choose. Tho I have to say. The rainbow children even for me is hard going. But I worked with a guy who adored it so we played it all the time in the store so I got to accept it.

Looking for a new man. Freaks need not apply. Freeeks can tho ;-p
