Yes, I know there are a million threads here about his autograph. Make this 1,000,001. Last year for Christmas, my ex-girlfriend (while we were still together) gave me this. It's an autographed tour booklet from the 84-85 Purple Rain tour. She said a friend of a friend was in the entertainment memorabilia business and she ordered this from him. She wouldn't tell me how much she paid (I didn't want to know exactly, I just didn't want her spending too much on me), but that he gave her a good deal. I asked her if she paid less than three figures and she said yes. But I didn't get a certificate of authenticity, so I have no proof.

For most of the past year (and since we broke up in May), I have been skeptical about its authenticity. But tonight I was looking at images floating around on the net of his signature from the late 80s. To me, it looks like it could be authentic.

So, I wanted to know what you orgers think. Even if it is fake, it's still cool to have a PR tour book. And it's in good condition.

No, it's not for sale. Real or fake, I'm keeping it.

I did buy mine , so I have always questioned if it is real .

Some threads seem to imply that his signature is similar to this - however most legitimate signatures I trust - seem to imply Prince's signature is "larger" and - in general- more sloppy ...

I have a "autograph" magazine that shows his signature from a reputable dealer and it always seems larger to me ...

As far as the signature thing and autograph - i based what Prince "signed" on an article i read in the "autograph " magazine I had - which showed a rather sloppy larger auto ...

however there are people on the org (in another post I think I might be able to find ) who had REAL SIGNATURES that they witnessed - that they said were much more similar to what you have I think ... so it is still up in the air ...
