Gotta show my love for Alphabet St, which usually tops peoples' Worst lists - but I love it, and think it has a great sense of fun that really suits the song.

My fave overall is I Wish U Heaven,

Yeah, totally agree. Love "I wish you heaven" and the video equally - gorgeous. When "Alphabet St" came out he had the UK at his feet critically & commercially - all waiting for the next look and change of direction for the new album after Sign of the Times and the shelving of The Black Album. Wicked times, wicked look, with the long hair green, black & turqouise colour motifs. And if I remember rightly there was a late night review show at the time where a video was shown and 3 critics would stop it when they had enough. "Alphabet Street" was the first and I think only one to be allowed to be played in its' entirety.

Oh, also love the "Crimson & Clover" vid from Lotusflower.com. Really love this song anyway and I know that the video isn't groundbreaking or the best by any stretch, but the version I've got it seems as though Prince isn't singing along with the words, but just talking. I think it's because the version I have the video is just badly out of synch with the audio - but wierdly, for me, it seems as though it's a mistake that really, really works - as though he's talking poetically to his lady while the song is being played. Really like this one - wonder if anyone else has experienced this too?

Gett Off -

Great concept / performance video.

1999 -

Fun and directly associates Prince as a live performer...great record of the tour stage.

Take Me With U -

How better to capture the Purple Rain tour than with this great live track featuring an awe inspiring guitar solo.

Kiss -

Stylish, and holds up well even today as a fresh, clean and funky video that represents the song well.

I Wish U Heaven -

Like to see more of this style with technology of the time really being employed well. The blue Cloud floating across the screen is the moment that I recall when thinking of this clip.

Batdance -

Grand, theatrical, engaging clip that tells the story of the song fantastically. The theme, costumes, and Gemini character perfectly captures that whole track and Batman era.
