Will we ever see the Welcome 2 America album? Remember last year when he was playing a few new songs in concert like Welcome 2 America, Black Muse, U Will B With Me, Gingerbread Man, Only Heaven Knows, We Live 2 Get Funky...
does anyone think they'll ever leak or turn up on a new album? | |

Welcome 2 America was played as a part of Dreamer. Gingerbread Man was played as a part of The Question of U/The One. Only Heaven Knows was played to the music of Sly's Thank You. We Live 2 Get Funky is just an excuse to have another jam session. An album like this? No thanx!  | |

I thought at the time that the Poster/Programme cover of him in grey against the New York skyline would make an awesome album cover. I was hopeful that given the name and lyrics for Welcome 2 America that an album similar in theme to The Rainbow Children was on the Horizon. Sadly not. Still, it's hardly the first time Prince has shelved albums, is it? (If, that is, it ever was intended as an album). Screwdriver seems promising enough. I personally liked We Live 2 Get Funky. Good re-use of Redhead Stepchild. "Had to get off the boat so I could walk on water..." |

I would slot that in with the Welcome2America as some sort of addition.

@ MSG on the 18th of December 2010 - Welcome 2 America was the first song played and not along with Dreamer. When  go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all  up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! | |
