3 in a row...good gawd! I just re-discovered the bliss of tracks 2-4 on Crystal Ball disc 2:
Da Bang Calhoun Square What's My Name I think CB is the only P set that I can't name the order in which the songs appear (it's always just been a collection of songs rather than an album in my mind), and I rarely listen to CB in track order. But dayum...those are three INCREDIBLE tunes backtaback! Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

Did anyone else on this site call the 900 number to hear "What's my name" shortly after the name change?
It was announced that the call would give us Prince's new name, but they basically played that song?

That block of songs kick my ass too! And I didn't know any of them before I got Crystal Ball.

In time CB material is getting proper recognition and praise where it once was dogged. "Climb in my fur."

I don't particularly dig the crazy parts of Da Bang or What's My Name.

Which crazy parts? The changes from mid-tempo to up-tempo, mellow to screaming? I think those are my mostest favoritest! Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

Very true. I wasn't delighted with it when it first came out, but have grown to love it over the years.

This 3-song stretch kicks major ass and, aside from the constant return to the title track of the set, they recieve about 97% of the attention I pay to Crystal Ball. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
