Guitar work makes me want to hear stuff like this fro him:

Mixed with some Hendrix and otehrs.

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Remember when The Rainbow Children came out, people complained about how there were only people of color on the album cover (LOL!), or in his band... well, if we end up with Prince + 3 white women, y'all will have gotten your payback smile

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

(And yes I know race doesn't matter, post-racial blah blah blah... just saying... in the 80s it was a big deal that Prince assembled a multi-racial, mixed gender, and mixed sexuality band... And people felt it relevant to comment on his bands composition because they realized that Prince doesn't do anything by accident or coincidence. He's very calculating when it comes to these kinds of things.

Then by the 90s he had gone with the NPG + hip hop dancers/rappers... etc.)

Uh... Renato Neto ain't black.

He has to mix it up so the white folk don't say where the white musicians, Prince must be a racist. And the black folk.. Prince is a sell out, where the brothers and sistas? rolleyes

Those are complaints heard over the years, everytime he changes band members, from both sides, but he has always had Black musicians in his band. If he has an all White girl band touring this time, and no one else added, then that will be a first for him, but then again, with all the artists he's been collaborating with lately, we still don't know everyone else that will be in his NPG band if he tours,

Remember the last time he toured, he had quite a few guest musicians for a tour, like Andy McKee as his guitarist, but who knows if he's still around as an official NPG member. Maybe if he tours this time, he'll do the same, with this current, new guitarist and also still have his other NPG members and backup singers as part of his band. Guess we won't know, until that's mentioned somewhere.

Lord have mercy, who the hell cares? No matter what color or gender they are, he'll eventually shit on them just like he has with the other bandmembers. He doesn't discriminate, he's an equal opportunity shitter. lol

Andy is a four letter word.

I like the fact that Prince is willing to work with younger artists/players in his band.

He's been doing this long enough for me to trust that he knows what he's looking for in a bandmember, and he must be seeing and hearing something he wants each person to contribute. Maybe they help him think about his own music in a different way, bring out a different aspect that he wants to highlight this go'round.

And, it's his way of inter-generational musical dialogue/transmission; of training new players. Kind of like his own sort of school.

So how come all these young artists/players happen to be women? Where are the young talented mane artists in his band he could give the chance for a bigger audience or teach?

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

Don't know about anyone else, but I would LOVE to see P with a full band of female musicians behind him. I think that would rock.......and funk. If Beyonce can do it then why can't he?

Well, one or two extra male cuteness would not hurt his female fan base though.

rolleyes He already has Andy, so he should be mature about sharing the female gazes on stage, right?!!

Just one or two cute guys on stage won't hurt anyone. And I'm not fussy about skin colour, all colours are good.

I am fuzzy about orientation, though. I mean, I can handle one sexy gay dude, but if he's going to fill the stage with sexy gay guys, I will feel tricked!

maybe the hornsection or get 2 male hornplayers

like the guitarist from Mazarati

LOL when has Prince had obvious sexy gay guys in his bands??

Yes, I had my share of broken heart because he really does not care about my breasts, but does fancy my best male friend.

And allright, I withdraw my fuzziness about orientation. Get the hot gay guys on stage. As long as they are sexy and male.

That keyboard player in Graffiti Bridge during 'Tick, Tick, Bang' was obvious but I don't know about sexy.
