Let's innerview Prince Prince, if u'r lurking around here... it's OK 2 answer
Q: Did Thriller push back the release of Purple Rain? This question came to mind, cuz he skipped 1983 while he had the habit of releasing albums annually. That year was the 1st time he broke that tradition.

The answer is no, because in 1983 Prince was busy recording & rehearsing Purple Rain. No way it could have come out earlier than it did. | |
