I have more music from Prince than any other artist but when it comes to listening to music in general, he's only a small percentage of it. There's too many thousands of other songs from other artists out there to be listening to mainly Prince and Prince only.

Usually about half of the music I listen to is by Prince or Prince related (The Time, Jill Jones etc), but 2012 was not a usual year, with the Australian tour in the first part and then my friend dropping all the bootlegs and DVD's on me, I would say Prince music has taken up 3 quarters of the music I listen to. And like most people, most of the music is from before 1990.
My song count has gone up from studio albums and a couple of boots, to around 1500 different songs, but like a lot of people, different mixes (4 extended versions of Computer Blue and all 6 mixes of We can Funk) along with live versions on DVD's, rehearsals, annual albums and of course some top rate protege material like 100MPH and Screams of Passion, that was originally recorded with Prince's vocals.
The songs add up, take the Moonsound demos, 19 tracks, then Sound 80 another 14 tracks and it piles up. Some are only a few seconds long, others like U Gotta Shake something are 15 minutes long. [Edited 12/23/12 3:51am] Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I really don't listen to a lot of his music anymore. The last concert bootleg I bought was the Conga Room power trio show. I stopped buying the live concert bootlegs also..I don't get excited by them anymore.
Usually once a year (on a weekend) I'll pull out some of his stuff and listen for a while and I'll put it away. As vainandy said, there's a lot of other great stuff out there.

As an unconditional Prince fan, I should be listenning to him 100 right? But No, maybe 60% I always come back to Prince Even though vital things are Air, Water, food, I could say that Prince's music is vital to me..I may loose myself into spaces, moods, with some people, but when I need to find myself back, He's like a reference, a point, not final, a beginning, a point to which I need to come back, to focus on myself, to ressource, to restart and continue. I need to be surronded and envelopped by his music, as to feel warm and secure. [Edited 12/23/12 13:43pm] We make our own way to heaven everyday

Honestly I'd say Prince get's 40% of my yearly listening pleasure. Michael Jackson gets about 40%. Everyone else about 20%.

Prince is the 4th most listened to music artist on my Itunes:
1. The Beatles total playcount - 13,642 track plays
2. The Beach Boys total playcount - 8,385 track plays
3. Frank Sinatra total playcount - 3,801 track plays
4. Prince total playcount - 2,783 track plays
and i've only been listening to him since 2012, I should mention i'm very ocd about my play count so even if i've only played 30 seconds of a song i'll make it count.
