Noticed that music sheet with new song title in "RnR Affair" ?
Is that a new song title I see there on the music sheet at 2:22 in his new video "R'nR Affair" ? Only I can't clearly read it... anyone ? plus a nice review of his new video here : http://www.slate.com/blog...nd_he.html "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

...and anyone who's able to read notes surely can read part of it and compare. I can't unfortunately :-/ "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

I think it says People Pleaser.

I thought o f that too, but I'm not too sure though "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

Had a quick look and the title definitely says "People Pleaser" and the notes do look like the sax notes in that song.

I did notice.
Has anyone seen the credits given for the video version of the song?
Prince -- Rock and Roll Love Affair
Now THIS is interesting, because if it is correct, it means that Jamie Lewis can do a lot more than remixes. This says he mixed and mastered this version, which has a great mix.
It also means that it was mixed and mastered in Switzerland... It doesn't indicate where it was recorded, but that may have been in Switzerland as well.
Although I don't care for Jamie Lewis' remixes (and I do like House music), he's got a nice touch on the mixing board (along with Ben Muehlethaler)... "He's a musician's musician..."

I guess the recording was elsewhere but I do not have any info to confirm. About the mastering though:
Is it the first time that he allows someone outside the USA to do that? Maybe make a few stats with his discography and mastering studios? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Does Prince own Purple Music?

Nope, up until the Dance 4 Me release last year he had absolutely nothing to do with them!

Very interesting indeed. The sound is different for one thing, so that makes sence. It reminds me of The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, which was also (co?)produced by Ricky Petersen, who delivered a different sound to that track.

The (P) indicates property of the master recording. I doubt Prince allowed Purple Music to own the masters of the song... A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

I thought the "P" stood for publishing rights. "He's a musician's musician..."

No, this would be a (c) associated with a publishing name and company (such as "(c) Controversy Music, ASCAP").
Usually a record's back cover has a (c) which is for the art and packaging, and a (p) which is about who owns the music recording itself. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

He'd wish he did. And the text is:
