SO glad everyone shared pretty much the same sentiments as me on the song! Not everyone has to enjoy it as much, but I think it's classic and very over looked. It's almost like he can't perform it live and carry the same emotion as is delivered in the studio cut...BUT it is wonderful! smile

when P is inspired he is pretty damn untouchable. This is an exquisite work, the lyric, the vocal, the overall feel and that incredible guitar playing throughout.

Stunning.

Nice tune. Not brilliant but worth buying the hits thing for.

I never forget. One of my all-time favorites, by anyone.

The strings & guitar duet in the last half is about as perfect to me as any piece of music can ever be.

"I'm gonna TELL you a bedtime story!"

So I search for a video to listen to the song before I type this message, and the only video I find that plays on my computer fades out at 3:30 or so. Argh! I wanna here "come on back, come on back to your little man" and then some awesome strings and guitar solo. Guess I'll have to grab the CD off my shelf and put it in the stero.

Yes I was just saying to my man (who is also a massive Prince fan) the other day that Pink Cashmere has got to be one of my all time favourites - timeless perfection x

I like the song, but I don't care for the recording. The vocal is really good, (as is to be expected) but the instrumental track sound empty and unfinished, and not in the cool Kiss/When Doves Cry way, either.

The guitar is ridiculously low in the mix, (like When Doves Cry) and the whole track just sounds empty.

The drums need to fill up more space or it needs some more instruments.

Cool song, though.
