Pink Cashmere...DID I forget? DID WE ALL? I usually don't do this..BUT It was weird..
But I guess it has been maybe a year since I heard the track.
SO I played it again, and DAMN. What a song of genius and brilliance.
Sure he is just singing about making an expensive coat for his girl at the time. LOL. BUT The perfect strings by Claire, acoustic guitar making a serene sound...His vocals in perfection...then that bomb guitar solo that fits just perfectly. Pardon me Kcool...LOL
It was one of the first songs that brought me into the world of Prince and his creative gifts and talents. I am very amazed at how lightly spoken the song is talked about. It's song we realize is great but somehow forget about...
How many of you dig Pink Cashmere? And what other songs appear to you in random distances, that makes you realize its genius? It can be as recent as 'RNR' Hahaha...Or as long ago as 'Moonbeam levels' I am not comparing those two songs seriously..I just wanted to get a laugh in. Haha

Well, I do. I think it's a fantastic song, I always have. I remember running into town during my lunch break from work to buy The Hits/The B Sides the day it was released (and being late back) and this being one of the first tracks I skipped to when I got home. It just does it for me. The strings, the beats, Prince's vocal. Magical in every way.
