Love your show! I kind of agree with you guys about the album being ok, but it could've been better given all the great aftershow performances he did around that time. My favorite song on the album is All the Critics. I've been catching up on some of the shows that I missed. (I've been a fan of the show for awhile but had missed a lot of shows.) And here's my question: what does it take to give an album a 10?!?!? TGE gets 9 to 9.5. Controversy and Parade both get mostly 8.5 or so. C'mon fellas! TGE is your favorite album of the 90s for a couple of you, why not give it a 10?! Let's be a little more generous.  I'm gonna hope each of you gives at least three albums a 10. ... Where is my plus sign today ? I'm guessing that's directed toward me, which is funny because I often think you guys are sipping that drink. Obviously it's hard for me to communicate my full range of opinions in just one post. But you all have been way more generous than I would be on some of his albums. Just off the top of my head, here's how I would rate the following albums: 20ten = 5 Lotusflow3r = 8.5 1999 = 10 The Rainbow Children = 5 (it's top 5 in terms of instrumental performance, lowest by far lyrically, average in terms of melodies and vocals) The Vault/OF4S = 8 That gives you some idea of where I'm coming from. And I know you guys completely disagree with me on The Vault/OF4S, but that's been a serious grower for me. It was about a 6 when it came out, but over time my appreciation for organic sounding albums and return to enjoying jazz have really made this album enjoyable.
