My favourite album is The Gold Experience. It may be so because I am very fond of the cocky, over-the-top, self-assured, flamboyant and euphoric feel of the album. It feels like a stubborn and cocksure way to start anew, which is something I often enjoy doing - simply starting anew.

my favorite album is parade.

what it says about my personality is that i want to be a french moviestar, or at least sleep with one.

and it probably also highlights my 'less is more' style, my introverted nature and my romantic side.

and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

My favorite Prince album is and has been since 1988 "Lovesexy".

It says I'm a believer who likes to freak...and a freak that is also a believer.

I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Parade is my favorite Prince album.

I guess it's the broad adventuress aspect of the album I relate to the most. It's one of Prince's least graphic albums too, yet it's full of color & vibrancy....I really dig that. nod

الحيوان النادلة ((((|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|̲̅̅=̲̅̅|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|)))) ...AND THAT'S THE WAY THE "TITTY" MILKS IT!

2. For me listening to the music of 1999 can and has been a spiritual experience. Over the years the spiritual feeling has subsided a bit but 1999 can still affect me if I'm in the right mood.

Basically, listening to 1999 takes me to a place where i reflect on my life, the people i love(d), and my eventual death. When i listen to 1999 i imagine my spirit traveling thru the universe, visiting various galaxies, planets, and where I'm at total peace with the creator.

I'm really into futuristic sounding albums and artist. People like early Prince, early Thomas Dolby, Alan Parson, Gary Neuman etc. Futuristic(or spacey)sounding Synth sounds get me in a weird mood.

I am passionate about striving to create the perfect balance in life.

Past artistic statements of Prince's with this philosophy in mind, and executed well, include Lotus Flower, N.E.W.S., The Rainbow Children, The Gold Experience, Lovesexy, Parade, ATWIAD, Purple Rain, 1999 and Dirty Mind; of course, all in their wonderfully unique and different ways. But perhaps his most perfectly balanced record, with all shades of his light and dark, pop prowess and quirkiness, struggling with the journey and yet somehow defining his own way, is Sign 'O' The Times.

Interestingly, I do feel Superconductor has a beautiful, delicate and precious balance to it; it's a refreshing change and, hopefully, demonstrates considerable growth on Prince's part.

love,

Spirit

that I'm still stuck in the legacy of the 70s and early 80s

that I enjoy short/no filler albums

that I dig songs about sex and alienation

that I dig electro, r&r and 70s funk

Favorite song is "Head": It means that not only am I gay, but I'm also a whore.

Favorite album is "1999": It means that I'm a freezing cold, nighttime, colored lights flashing in the dark, futuristic type of person with no traditional tastes whatsoever. When the actual year 1999 arrived, it was a disappointment to me because we weren't living like The Jetsons.

Lovesexy

It reveales a heavy spiritual overdose, but a natural inclination to still glam slam! Haha. JK..Lovesexy just manages to put all the pieces of depression and rebirth to light in such a beautiful way. It reveals (Live) the shadows that are known in even the brightest of times!

Awesome way to interpret the album and awesome comment on the spirit of fearlessness in your life. TGE is in my top 5.
