If you want to be a Prince fan today, you need to abandon your internet-using ways and live outside of the U.S. just to purchase a single for less than $17.

He looks at other artists vids, that was confirmed last week by some female artist that supported him in Oz. Don't know what his problem is, maybe he hates his own face, or time not being a trick. Anyway he comes across as a hypocrite.

Why do they make em in the first place? To promote. If he had any sense he'd not only let us post videos but he'd drop a few exclusives in here himself.

Well when interviewd....he didnt want his stuff on youtube because of their system. He quoted something along the lines of Universal owns all of the video publishing, and he is very fimiliar with their lawyers...and that he doesnt want to have anything to do with them.."we know whats going on behind the scenes" he said during the All Day All Nite tours.

ugh! i wish he would just allow his things on youtube.. for example i was talking to a girl i like about music one day, and told her about Prince (she then answered she loved bohamian rhapsody..) needless to say i had a long talk with her about Prince. lol. she went home and tried to look up his videos and couldnt find anything, lol.. she was so confused until i told her the situation.. i ended up having to make her like 3 cds...

Aw, come on now, I migrated here from Housequake.com. But, I feel your pain. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but is it because artists get paid by television programs when their video is played and not by YouTube and Prince.org the reason why posting official "promo" vids is not allowed? Again, it's his work so he can do with it what he desires, but I don't quite understand the legal conflict or problem since promo vids are made to promote the song. Of course, if one has Real Player or something like that one can convert the vid to an MP3, so could that be the reason?

Most, if not all, of Prince's promo videos are online, on various websites, some of which Prince can't touch because they're held in developping countries. The problem is that they're not necessarly there with an excellent sound and picture quality, and that they're not all available at the same place. As for YT they keep coming and going again and again, since they get reposted and recensored all the time...

If someone has all of P's promo vids in great quality, I beg them to either post them on another site than YT, or to put them on YT without credit, letting word of mouth spread the news privately among fans, without Websherrif (what a ridiculous name for a company!!!) and others knowing about 'em being there.

What Kate Bush, Eurythmics, Björk and many other have done, posting all their vids in chronological order on their official YT account, is just so cool.

Solution would be to download these videos in best quality possible (HD mp4, x.264, whatever) and torrent the sh*t out of these as a collection with updates when necessary.
