eye am pretty sure prince is like most super religious people .. putting up a goody 2 shoes front to hide the debauchery and gluttony that goes on behind the scenes .. he is likely on some crazy drugs or a heavy boozer .. it really is the only viable explaination for his musical output

i'm jealous of prince. he's one of those people that can trip his box off on his own endorphins. whereas i have to buy shit like clarky cat, yellow bentines and cake.

he used to be a grade one weird little space cadet, so out there, but captivatingly cheeky too. that e must have sent his conciousness into overdrive.

the prince of today seems more sane. perhaps he's wary of digging too deep into his psyche, perhaps he likes the stability of mind that religion offers. i don't find him engaging at all anymore, as a personality or as a musician but no hard feelings. for the music he made that did, and still does impact on me, i'll always be grateful.

the best music is made by young druggists and fruitcakes. that's a fact.

when i think about cringeworthy Prince interview moments - I can think of a few ...

the one that really sticks out with me is the one with CBS - it was I think around 1998/99 where the guy offers him some breakfast crap ... Prince was horrible to the poor guy who i think never did another interview again lol

(it was a CBS morning show )

It was after this one - where I thought - Prince really needs a publicist that can tell him what to do or how to act cus he comes off as an ASSHOLE ...

"The Today Show" . Prince said he hadn't had breakfast to excuse him since he was eating his cracker. Matt said, "I can offer you breakfast" or something like that.

All I remember was my reation while watching on YouTube a few years back was "WTF?"

the one I am thinking about , was the CBS show .... not the Today show . The guy is some guy who wasnt a household name ...

I think it was between 1998 and 1999 ... I was at the Today show 1998 so it would have been after that , but it was NOT a performance ... as I recall ....
