I was working as one of the assistant managers in a video store when the Gett Off vhs video was released. I purchased it the first day it arrived. The store I worked for had a play list of movies/videos that could only be played. Well I figured I paid for Gett Off and I was going to watch it that night. So I played it a few times and the next day I get called into the office and written up for playing the video because a customer must have been offended by it that was shopping in the store. Now mind you another assistant manager would open up any music videos that he liked and played them even if they weren't on the list. So I thought to myself I'm already written up so why not play the video the rest of the week and so I DID. I really didn't like that job and when they refused to let me take my vacation that I had planned and asked for way in advance, I quit. I was planning on going to the Controversy Convention in Mpls in 1991 and I DID. The company had mistreated me for about 2 years so I was ready to tell them off and I DID. I called the district manager and left a voice message telling him how the company had harassed me, and so much more. I told him what he could do with the job and I walked out in the middle of my shift. I shouted the message because I was so angry. Two hours later I got a phone call asking me to reconsider and come back to work for them. I wouldn't have gone back to that job no matter how much money they would have offered or any additional benefits. The moral of the story, this Prince fan had a wonderful time in Mpls and if you can't respect Prince, you got to go.

So after I ordered, I turned up my car stero as loud as it could go (I had "head" on-for the shock value), and when I drove up to get my food and pay, everyone in back, and I do mean everyone was staring a me(one woman looked like she had just witnessed a murder). And then when I drove back to work, I still had the stero turned up as loud as possible, (keep in mind I'm a teacher, I work at a middle school) and it was on "partyup", well there were these two people in the parking lot, looked like high school kids, and they gave me the same look as the people at McDonalds did. I got out of my car and blankly looked at them and just said "what". I decided to take my "dirty mind" tape and play it in the classroom(the clean stuff), and well, I think I converted my student-aid.
So those were my little Prince scenes, I attend to make more. And I also converted someone too, it was a good day
