Anyone missed the extended version of the show, it should be on Iplayer.
Well worth it. some good bands on this last week.
I'm hoping Larry enjoyed it and reports back to P. I'd love him to go on it, but i think the format would scare him. [Edited 11/19/12 7:24am]

To be honest, I thought he was great. I'm no fan of all his JW nonsense, but his two songs were fun. This series of Later has been pretty weak for me, and a dose of 'It's Alright' and 'Dance to the Music' lifted to the whole crowd and mood like no other

No its THE only live music show on TV. (in UK)
The show is fukin shite and Jools is a massive bellend, he rarely has anyone on whos decent, just indie crap, arty crap and some world music shite to keep the Guardian readers happy.

i think there are many, many people on here who would argue with you. Jools is a genius - have you ever watched him play blues on the piano? Sounds like you prefer Top 40 chart crap?. Do you have anything of note to add to the thread i.e. an opinion on LG's performance/interview perhaps?

there's also t4 on the beach in the summer. thats amazing. my favourite live act on it so far has been jedward, the show where one of them (can't remember if it was jed or ward) fell and crippled him/it/self. don't play me...i'm over 30 and i DO smoke weed....

I like Jedward. They make me laugh. Unintentionally admittedly. They are also the only names I can remember from XFactor. Which says something about my interest in that show.

They can argue away but he's a cock. And genius? bullshit, his playing is repeatative and dull, listening to his music is like having a dog shit in my ears

By the look of that attempt at a sentence, it appears so.

For all the negative press, I thought Larry came across very well as a person and his performance was the liveliest thing about the show.
Off topic somewhat, I saw Jools live at the SECC ages ago and really enjoyed it. Admittedly I only went because one of his backing singers was Sam Brown, and when he introduced her I went nuts - everyone else was looking at me in a confused manner.
Shame she can't sing any more..but here she is at her devastating peak...on another Jools show as it happens:

That song Foals did blew everything else out of the water, I only saw half the show though.

To be fair, I did have quite positive impressions of a few artists on that show, and I'll need to replay the Foals performances.
I do recall thinking it was rather good music (I was doing something else and not concentrating on the show!). "I'm much too hot to be cool"
