Indeed, they've kept my interest in many an artist alive. Particularly prince. The ONA tour restored my faith in the little man, even the religious stuff couldn't ruin some of those performances. Long may bootlegs exist!

I remastered all my bootlegs then threw most of them away.I just cannot tolerate shoddy packaging.

I've got to admit to becoming much more attached to some of the nicer ones, such as the aforementioned 'City Lights', as well as 'Cosmos', 'Deposition' and several others which over the years have attained more or less classic status.

De luxe packaging was not one of 'Mirrorball''s strongest features, by the way (sorry, Lib...)

Plus 'Driving 2 Midnight Mess' Camden Palace, London, 26th July 1988. Wicked show.

Oh, these are essential too, although some would not strictly qualify as "aftershows", being just one-off performances:

'The Jam' 7th Streety Entry, Minneapolis, again cool show. Prince manages to squeeze some bad ol' blues out of his guitar. Shame about the sound quality, though. 25th October 1984.

'Fine Line Cafe'. All lovers of Jazz should own a copy of this. It's badass musicianship, especially from Eric Leeds. Prince and his S.O.T.T. are all in great form. 5th December, 1987.


'Miles From The Park'. This is the legendary New Years Eve concert from 1987 at Paisley Park, featuring Miles Davis. I'm sure you're familiar with this one. Strongly reccommend the CD-ROM version if you can't be bothered with looking for a copy of this on video.

All the above are from Prince's vintage "golden age" (which incidentally happen to be the ones I've taken with me on my coach trip!), but I'm sure you are likely to be familiar with the more recent stuff like Le Bataclan and Nighttown anyway.

I strongly recommend you get Thunderball's version instead. Not only do you get the extra tracks that didn't make it onto any configurations of Dream Factory but ,also, the sound quality here is actually superior to Sabotage's who actually botched the "remastering" of the CD.

Sabotage's booklet is a delight though.

Lest I forget, 'R U Gonna Go My Way' is another nice aftershow to add to your collection. This one features Lenny Kravitz on drums and both the vive and the sound quality are pretty decent. Tivoli, Utrecht, Holland, 24 December 1998. Yes sir.

Vegas 12/00 at Studio 54 is dope too, I especially like the version of She's Always In My Hair..

i love the Dream Factory - remastered from Sabotage - don't have the Thunderball version. But my next will the The Works volumes 1 thru 5.. looking forward to that.

The latest ONA European tour aftershows that are circulating have been pretty impressive IMO. Except for Bataclan cause I haven't heard that yet.

I've lost interest in them. I have a lot of live ones (over 150 on CD originals, about 40 on mp3, and still tons from my tape/video trading days, ) I was insane, I don't listen to any of them - and nor do I want to.

I have very little interest in listening to his live work at home - I love going to concerts, but that's all the live Prince I need.

Since studio recording bootlegs have dried up, I stopped buying/carring about live recordings and bootlegs.
