You know.... Prince's Newer Stuff Prince's newer stuff wasnt that bad. I've been giving it a recent listen, and its not bad at all. After listening to D'Angelo's Voodoo it also gave me a bigger appreciation for the jazz style tracks. I think reading some of the comments here when I was first checking it out I never really gave it a chance or much of a conscious listen. They do an excellent job in showing is musician side too, especially a lot of the tracks without vocals.

O course, it's all a matter of opinion but for me, some of his bad old stuff is better than a lot of the 'good' new stuff. There's good and bad all over, Miles Davis, black and white, Coltrane, night and day, black and white, rich and poor. Some of the finest dancing girls he ever saw in his life too.
Shit this weed's bangin.

While I love The Rainbow Children and other religious songs, I do agree that lots of Prince's newer work is very good. Thanks for sharing. I would be interested in knowing which of the newer works you like and why as it may give me a fresh insight to the works.

I'm not religious, and The Rainbow Children on a good day is my favorite post 2000 Prince album. I don't really get the preachy vibe a lot of people complain about.
