in my profile i said that i cant choose a favorite because i dont own all his stuff

i only have 80 cd's and i know that's not even half

I have every released song. I've heard every track(some more than other, of course).

I agree! I thought for sure Vitriol was a guy.

I own and have listened to every studio and live Prince song ever officially released, broadcast or streamed including alternate versions and songs given to other artists and their own alternate versions, except for a couple of dozen hard-to-find alternates (mostly edits from promos) that I'm still chasing.

I own and have listened to every circulating studio outtake.

As for live shows and rehearsals (boots) I must own maybe 100 of them, maybe more, but I'm not so much of a completist here, though, because I don't like audience recordings too much.

Getting all that stuff took me thousands of hours: a decade roaming in record stores and negociating tapes with other fans, and another decade roaming on the internet so yeah, unless u have a lot of free time I can acknowledge that it's not so easy to listen to everything.

ThisOne, you're supposed to title the threads you start with something that actually describes the content of your thread. Neither should you really address a specific orger with the title.

For example, you could have titled this thread "Have you listened to every record Prince has made?", or something like that.

Everything officially released and pretty much every circulating outtake. But in contrast to the 80s and 90s I don't buy and collect his new stuff anymore. It wouldn't make much sense to me to buy albums you don't feel the need to listen to ever again.

NO-ONE has every song Prince has ever done....only Prince has those.

I've heard 90% everything Prince has released himself & I've heard [maybe] 75% of the bootleg stuff.

i own it and its not a bootleg ~ its real / authentic...

its not a common one and was only released in some parts of the world.... so have u listened to it????

because this is what i'm talking about.... how can u know 4 sure that u have listened to all his stuff when some things were not distributed every where????????

Ther artwork is not the issue. The music on it is. Are they alternate versions? Extended? Then they were likely released in other forms elsewhere.

Yes.... every released track I KNOW about. That said, I still seem to come across edits or mixes I missed every once in a while. That's another one of the cool things about being a Prince fan/collector. There's enough material for a life-time of fandom, especially if you take into account the bootlegs.

Maybe, but at least everything on CD that was released in decent quantities via acessible channels.
