I give it a 3. Would bump that up to a 7 or 8 if the song had a chorus!

The song sounds unfinished. Is it a case of lazy song writting or is P out of ideas?

I give it about a 5, it just goes to show he should record live, like back in the day, his vocals have more energy live.

I agree. I think the song is around a 5, +/- a point. The live version fell a little flat for me, but compared to the other stuff that's popular now, RnRLA shows greater musicianship. Still, I can't shake the feeling of being somewhat disappointed, but I want to avoid getting swept up by all the negativity... I guess it is what it is...

Originally it was a 4, but its quite catchy and I seem to be humming it a lot. One of my friends is desparately trying to get me into it. But its just so plain, theres no adventure or the spark of inventiveness. At least 20 Ten had some chutzpah, but this is bland. Still I give it a 5.5, not a quite a 6, but better than a 5.

This is a very average Prince song.

2 [1 for ida who is hot and 1 for the horns] It's a shit performance and one that I can't even be bothered to keep. His vocals are off, his guitar is off, he looks so uneasy. It's just horrid IMHO.

This song is the epitome of a 5, from first listen to tenth listen.

Which isn't to say it's bad. It's just average. Exactly average. To me, it's likeable, hummable, memorable, but there is absolutely nothing interesting, bold, different or inspiring about it.

To me this song is a 7, it's understated and simple and yet effective. The best part is the way Prince sings the last verse.

2 for the amount of times I was able to listen to this song from start to finish, it stinks.

Very much a 7. I guess if I heard it live my rating would be higher.

I really wish I'd gone to the Kimmell show in L.A. 'cause I really need a vacation.

7 from me. I like it. Grown up Prince music. Want to hear more of that, more Colonized Mind, Dreamer, Te Amo Corazon. Enough of the cheesy arrested development Prince of 20ten and MPSound. Hopefully this signals a change in direction.

20Ten and MPLSound had some good songs on them.

I hate to say it, but a 2.

At 1st I'd say 4-5 but after a month now I'd have to give it a solid 7. The song has a hook to it that does stay in your head. I think it should do well if it gets airplay. It's plain, simple, catchy, and very easy to listen to. Fits a lot of styles. Probably his most radio friendly single in years. Even though the two aren't even comparable, I had the same feelings towards TMBGITW when it came out.

Of course that was my rating of the song in a general sense. As a Prince song I'd have to lower my score back down to 4 or 5.
