princey-related girl-names? Here is a true story to consider:
Thirty years ago, we were selling a bowling alley, and one of the prospective buyers was a nice young couple. During a conversation, they mentioned they had a daughter named Daisy.
"Oh, that's a pretty name," said my mother. "Is it a family name?"
"No," said the wife. "We named her after Daisy Dukes. You know, the girl on 'The Dukes of Hazzard'!"

I named my daughter Shelby Lynn... and no it isnt after P's Shelby...its after Reba McIntires son Shelby ( which my daughter is 17 yrs old) Lynn is part of my real middle name

The first names of both our kids (one boy, one girl) mean nothing to anyone. We chose them because we liked them.
But both kids' middle names are family-related. In fact, my son has two middle names. He's the only American person I know with four separate names (I don't include hyphenated last names as two names). | |
