The more I listen to it it sounds pretty decent just too vegasy...jazz act it seems.

I still like Rich Friends better. Sounds more like traditional ole' school Prince to me.

I hope if he is coming out with a full new album at some point....Rich Friends is on it.

"Rich Friends" was a "MasterPiece". Don't know why peeps say it sounds like the theme to Different World...I can't wait till Ryan Seacrest announces that RNR Love Affair is a top 10 hit...

Reading some of these posts, you would think Prince had remade Purple & Gold with Tony M and crossed it with Wedding Feast. RnR is a decent song, a good song. It's not Anna Stesia or When Doves Cry, but it's ok. Some people just can't like anything.

The song is harmless.

I'm surprised people haven't noted the similarities to "1999." Even the repeated line "rock and roll love affair" is the same as 1999's opening riff.

Different beat, though.

He can do better, but it's not terrible.

Remember that James Brown-sounding new song that Prince debuted on the Tonight Show a few years ago? I can't recall the title, nor exactly how it sounded. I just remember being overwhelmingly apathetic to the song at the time and not caring to ever hear it again. It was that bland and unnecessary. This song will experience the same fate.

Edit: I just looked it up. It was "Turn Me Loose."
