need my yearly fix of Prince, its been 2 years since 20ten!!

we've had these little nuggets to tie us over, but nothing to still the appetite for a new album.

if it hadn't been for the recently released outtake bootlegs this would have been one serious

drought.

i'm just hoping that once andy's album is out the way he'll release something of his own but

the longer her album is delayed, the longer we'll have to wait for his own new stuff and the

more likely it gets that he grows bored with what he has in the can and just shelves it all for

something he then has to start recording from scratch.

my hope: quick surprise release of new album by early december

my fear: no new album until late spring/early summer 2013.

a new european tour would do it also!

YES!!!!! Please Prince we need our purple fix. We need a new album...from YOU.

Ain't gonna happen because vitril doesn't want a new Prince album, and Prince won't go against vitriol's wishes anymore (R&R Love Affait was his last provocation towards him, now he's gonna stop).

Yeah and I liked them but a full album from him (not a protoge, btw nothing against allo and her album haha still gonna buy it).

Why not just play one of the bazillion albums he's already put out? Surely there's something in the back catalogue you've only played a couple of times max?

Ive been listening to at least one prince album each week, minimum. That's a lot of Prince albums in two years! I know he's released some stuff, but its not the same as an album (a Project!!) which is so much more exciting. Sometimes he released a turkey, sometimes a classic. LotusFlower was a classic and proves he can still write quality and sound good vocally. The dribs and drabs leaking lately arent fantastic but is some evidence that the man is in the studio and I think deep down inside he wants to work on a "project".

I didn't really care for 20ten, and I hoped that after that he would take a break and find a new sound. Prince seems to have done just that with "Rock and Roll Love Affair"

I don't mind if it takes another year, if he comes out with a whole album of tracks up to the quality of RnRLA then I'll be happy. Just no more Lotus/20ten.

I want some real underground cryptic type shit like the Black album or The Flesh/Madhouse etc

maybe even release under a different name - more experimental/instrumental futuristic tpe shizznitz!

or record some loose jams with people like Janaelle Monae and ?uestlove and just release that shit straight to the internet for free.
