why did prince stop playing darling nikki live? any reason for that decision?
thats a perfect rock song.its more then rock. its great i would live 2 c him playing darling nikki ,but not humping the stage,playing guitar. also i would kill for just to c him playing guitar intro and guitar solo 2 when doves cry. | |

I just watched the Purple Rain tour and Wendy fuckin NAILS this song in that show.

Why do you think that?
He played it on the 2000/2001 tour. The reason he didn't perform that song on his most recent tour is that he has to make choices what to play... he can't play everything! The last time Prince performed Darling Nikki live was on the Hit 'n Run tour of the U.S. Geneva would come out in her schoolgirl outfit and Prince would do a suggestive dance with her, crawling around and going underneath her skirt.
It was a real crowd-pleasing fun number in the show. I really think he should put it back in the setlist. If he has to leave something out, leave out Take Me With U and put Darling Nikki back in. I also think it's time to retire Purple Rain from the setlist. He can do When Doves Cry instead.   | |

Missed the Hit n Run tour 
In 1998 I saw him @MSG in NY,he started to play Darlink Nikki and then stopped! Teasing us. "Oh you're naughty!" or something like that. The real shame of it is that the crowd was ready to tear the place up for Darlinkg Nikki, but instead he went in to something like Nothing Compares 2 U
