I like the normal mix better, and the instrumental mix which is the same without the vocals. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

The original is much better. Definitlely one of Prince's best "dark" songs. __________________________________________________

Love both versions. i had actually heard the "Uptown Mix" 1st as I had bought the 12' single while looking for new Prince stuff at the time. The opening guitar solo is awesome, reminds me of his opening solos for "SIGN O THE TIMES" on the "SIGN.."tour. The original album version seems more haunting. Great track. If U came 2 get your 'Purple Rain' on...U'RE IN THE WRONG HOUSE!!!!!!

i hope that one day we'll get to hear a version with him on vocals.
until then, this remains one of my fav tracks he gave to another and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

until then, this remains one of my fav tracks he gave to another ^ ^ ^ I agree, twice!. I love the 12" vers,i was never a big fan of sheena but must admit she killed it on this track. Very powerfull & dramatic vocals, the music & production is very atmospheric too. I loves it! "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

101 is a hot track; I've always like that one. Ah, the days when there was depth to Prince lyrics. And Sheena Easton really delivers with her performance.
I prefer the original; no mix necessary. And I agree with the sentiment about someday hearing Prince's vocals on this. That would be a real treat.

I absolutely love the original track. Still one of my faves from anyone after all these years. I never liked the remixes very much...took away what I loved about that song.

love the original track and remixes. sheena says it's one of her best vocal performances on record.

Love 101. YouTube has a few remixes, I don't know which is the Prince remix. But the remixes there are quite awful. They wipe everything that was great about the original clean.
