I like his work from TRC onwards more than most of his 90s output. I probably prefer the Come / TGE era over anything he has done since, but "Diamonds & Pearls", "
He's just matured as a musician and as a songwriter and I'd hardly consider that a bad thing.

", "Emancipation", "Newpower Soul" and "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" all just sound like that he was lost and had no real idea what type of music he should do. During the last 10+ years he seems to have had just a better grasp on his album projects and what type of overall sound he should pursue. I admit that NPS was pretty cohesive stylistically, but it just happened to be a bad album in overall.
