Why not? His "music" sucks. It is a product primaily produced by other people. He is just the image that is frontin' it.
True and I don´t worship JT but I think Pharrell and Timbaland did a great job and
the 2 JT albums are still great albums...great pop/R&B 4 the masses, just enjoy it! Love4oneanother |

It's a joke. Prince, Patti Labelle, Cameo, Timberlake...No harm in noticing that JT is not quite a classic soul singer.
prince re-hired the guy, so he obviously doesn't really have any major issues with his decision, and Timberlake probably pays better anyway. |

before "extraloveable" at a recent chicago show, prince presented band members..
"this guy played for cameo.. this member played for pati labelle"..
when its mike scotts turn.. Prince says with disapointment.. "This pimp played for TIMBERLAKE,". then forgives scott by saying. " That's alright.." as if he did something wrong
maybe he was sarcastic and said it because he wants scott to stay with his band but i always got the impression that Prince was never too fond of timberlake's music. But I wonder why that is..
Timberlake has made greats songs in the past and learned from prince by choosing great musicians to play live with him.. not to mention a lot of his music was very prince influenced. Timberlake has been giving him a lot of props too..
Also This ain't the first time prince took a jab at him.. Y'all probably remember when prince said sexy never left at an after party with jt watching..
maybe i'm looking too deep into this
but there's seems to be tension between those too

Oh well, I don't like Justin "Mickey Mouse Club" Timberlake either.
Must be the fame and $$$, he's not cute at all.
Same here! Shut up already...Damn! |

Prince and Timberlake love each other. It's nothing but a little jab from a big brother to a little brother. JT used the whole NPG at one point. Prince wasn't touring and the guys in the band need to eat, so they took work when they could get it. Guns for hire! __________________________________________________

Did Bootsy Collins leave James Brown's group to play with Donnie Osmond? I don't think so.
Ultimately, Justin Timberlake is a pretender. He is celebrity/pop star that works with the right people. That's it. But , that's all is needed for some.
After Mickey Mouse Club, he semi fronted a completely manufactured boy band that had about as much talent as New Kids on the Block. Then, he Madonna'd his way through his solo years by crafting an image based on basic talent. Mostly, he mimicked Michael Jackson worse than Usher (and somewhat Prince sonically).
It is very telling that JT wants be an actor more than a "musician". It's because he's a popstar that's more interested in being a celebrity...Prince smells a phony and gives his guitar player shit for it.

True, Justified is MJs sound because of The Neptunes being heavily inspired by Mike (wanting to produce tracks for him) and Future Sex/LoveSounds is heavily Prince inspired because of Timbaland. Love both The Neptunes & Timbaland but JT was always so over confident and thinking he's the greatest since MJ & Prince, which he isnt and will never be. He's been saying he wants to be an actor for a while now but he cant act... When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace -Jimi Hendrix |

The fact JT also made fun of P's height during an awards show probably didn't help either....in fact I thought it was down right disrespectful for some wannabee to do that to someone of Prince's (musical) stature! |

The short jokes are just too easy. And it's not like Prince chose to be short, so how can you really Justi-fy making fun of someone for being born that way? Why not make fun of people in wheelchairs, too?
Make fun of his outfits, his image, his music, his oddities, his hypocricy...but height? lame |

Justin Timberlake's weak ass falsetto makes me want to punch stuff. And why is he always so smug? He's just an irritating person, and his attempts at imitating Prince's sound are just laughably shit. |

When has Prince said he disliked JT's music? Also, why, when or if Someone criticizes Prince or he them, does it become fodder for some of you to say such terrible things about people, especially when you guys don't want the same things said about Prince. That's the shit that's laughable. |

I totally agree. It is ridiculous. When Prince made that comment, I personally thought he was joking. I thought he was just playing the dozens--getting a rise out of the crowd by throwing JT a little good-natured shade. I still stick to the notion that JT was probably somewhere lurking about that night. He opened Ryder Cup in Chicago the very next day. |

Each their own taste in music and so....
BUT: if MJ did Like I love you or Dance with me
or Prince or some some R&B dude did Sexyback or Cry me a river there probably wouldn´t be a problem!!
I never was a fan of Nsync or whatever boyband so I wasn´t in a hurry 2 buy a JT album
but it just sounded so good I bought the shit and loved it.
It´s the Neptunes and Timbaland at their best with a good voice performing..I don´t know HOW Justin is or what a person he is....don´t care!

That's because they would have been Prince written/produced songs. These songs aren't Justin Timberlake. Is he talented enough to create these type of grooves on his own?

Actually the songs they made were done by using sounds created by Prince and them doing their best to make JT sound like Prince!!!!
Personally, I like JT...since his last CD was such an ode to P! The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.
