Over the last few weeks, every time I go clubbing London I keep hearing a new remix of controversy. I've heard it in several places, and it always goes down amazingly. It's one of the best DJ-mixes of a prince song I've heard. Anyone know what it is / who it's by?

As far as I've seen, only available as a white label vinyl.

I have heard it too a couple of times when I was "clubbing" in Amsterdam!! It´s an amazing mix! Don´t know who it´s from...

I like the way it begins, in the background very silent "...people call me rude, I wish we all were nude..."
and also when the lead line kicks inn!!! I have danced my ass off!!!

heard it in ibiza at pascha - also mixed it with a couple of others like pop life - went down fantastically well - virtually every person around me with mouthing the words

There is a sizeable Prince resurgence in the UK, no doubt about it. From clubs to radio play, it's happening. As for whether The Rainbow Children makes any significant impact, remains to be seen. I'd be pleasantly surprised.

By the way, I haven't heard the Controversy remix but I keep hearing the Let's Work remix in clubs aswell as Erotic City.

Someone here on the org sent me the White Label Controversy mix (thank you again!) on CD. Sounds really good. I've also seen it available for purchase as an MP3 on a couple of sites.

there are two mixes doing the rounds at the moment one has been around for about a year and it is by DIRTY FUNKER and it's called JUMP 2 IT it was on purple vinyl!! the other which is a couple of months old is by BODY TALK and is on their RUDE EP. and it is still called CONTROVERSY (this is the one with the "people call me rude" intro), the dirty funker version is the best and I know that it is played at Beyond, it is the best remix/sampling of a Prince tune that I have ever heard, shame it does not get a full release as everytime it's played everyone goes wild!

I have both tracks and can send them to anyone who wants them either by ICQ or MSN.
