Prince Threw Doritos At Jesse Johnson?

From a Wikipedia article on the Controversy tour:

"The conflict came to a head on the final night of the tour in Cincinnati as during the Time's set, Prince and some of the members in his band began egging them from off stage. Near the end of the set, they grabbed Jerome Benton from the stage and proceeded to "tar and feather" him by pouring honey all over him and dumping trash on him. Things got further escalated after The Time's performance, guitarist Jesse Johnson was handcuffed to a wall-mounted coat rack and further humiliated with Prince throwing Doritos and other food at him. When The Time went to retaliate, they were stopped by the tour manager and told there would be no interruptions during Prince's performance, but as soon as he left the stage, a food fight erupted between the two bands. When the battle continued at the hotel causing damage, Prince made Morris Day pay for all damages, claiming that he had started the whole thing."

How have you not heard this story before? I thought it was common knowledge. Many bandmembers have discussed it and it's in pretty much every Prince biography out there.

Exactly, its pretty funny though and shows how jealous Prince could get if his proteges got too successful, The Time were turning into Godzilla by this stage. The next tour, Prince left them off the bill in some cities as he was worrying about being upstaged and the rest is history when their bassist and keyboard player started their own production company.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Guess that must've been another foodfight lol. The one i heard is when after The Time had thrown mustard bombs at The Revolution. After that, P & The Rev made indeed an ambush during a Time show and started chasing Jesse (who ran into a drumkit of the group Zapp which was on the bill that night as well) and got foodbombed back. Meanwhile, Prince replaced Jesse's spot on the stage (in either Jesse's outfit, i'm not sure) and followed the Time's dance steps + choppin' the riffs. After Morris noticed this, he looked over his shades and gave P a side eye, cursing all kinda stuff.

Prince is a freaking beast. lol
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.
