I just listened to the studio version of A Love Bizarre for the first time in a long time. I was surprised by the guitar solo towards the end. It is credited to Prince on Princevault, but I'm not entirely convinced Prince was capable of playing such fast and smooth runs with a clean sound. It sound more like Miko W, doesn't it? What do you think?

I was just listening to it too today! AND YES...That's Prince! LOL

As much as we find it hard to believe sometimes...Prince is that good of a guitar player! lol

As much as we find it hard to believe sometimes...Prince is that good of a guitar player! lol

I've heard him do some "jazz" noodling before, but nothing quite like this. Rather impressive actually. Take this with his drumming on Madhouese 8, and you get the feeling that you rarely hear him play to the best of his ability. Technically that is.

with Prince who knows but it didn't sound outside of his ability technically but stylistically it just doesn't sound like him to my ears. Miko had that bluesy,jazzy sound, Prince was always versatile though so it wouldn't be out of the question but I don't think so. I go by feel when I assess those things not skill and it just doesn't sound like Prince's guitar "feel".

I agree. The 12'' version of Mountains has a short solo that I think is stylistically similar, although less developed. Of couse Miko took part in the recording session for Mountains, so no definite answers there.

ya i was gonna bring that up, same style. Strollin' has that sound too and I'd bet it was miko

Strollin' was recorded during the Nude tour while Miko was still in the band, so it's possible. But I guess it could be Levi as well? She Spoke 2 Me has a similar solo and I think that one is played by Levi.
