seriously that is the coolest track list ever produced by a journo. Matt are you a secret orger..show yourself man!. Really looking forward to the book. Who was the tosser who posted his alternative list on the guardian website which Matt came back to very diplomatically.

Be nice to Militant razz

Yeah - a little surprised The Guardian went there - enjoy them while they last

Exactly, love to see him go up against Alex Hahn and jsaon Draper who would be helped by listening to a few boots. Might be a good idea to burn a disc with all these songs on it.

A great version of Feel U up from 1980 should be added to that list too, along with the Prince version of Love Thy will be done, some haunting vocals there.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Since forever, nothing wrong with posting links.

Only P can't bully the Guardian like he can the Org, Housequake etc.

They posted links that's all, they didn't upload or host the material they were linking too - there wasn't that many they linked to any way, most of the links went to the respective page on princevault.com (yay!)

Definately the most hardcore of these type of lists I've seen - not a wifter of the usual 17 Days, Joy In Repetition, etc - all worthwhile choices of course and probably better even for a casual audience, but this is definately the most convincingly nerdy of these lists.

Yea a Prince nerd definitely put this one together. Tho I have to say it's slightly flawed. U Will B With Me? No way. Just As Long As We're Together?! Um...not exactly. BILLY!? I think I listened to it one time, liked it, and will never listen to it again.

But that said, there are some really great overlooked tracks here.

Princenerd? eek WTMF

Listening to and appreciation the harder bone funk that makes up his finer recordings definitely elevates one above nerdom. To me Nerds listen to stuff like One Direction and Polka music.

Not Matt.

Here's a link to the thread about the Parade doco he mentions. It's actually very good.
