I was Born in 61.
I remember Elvis, The Beatles Prince. I was a Junior in H.S. when his first album came out. I had brothers and sisters 10 years older than I who always had the radio on.

1968 is almost the perfect age to be a Prince fan.
I, like Wendy, was born in 1970. THE perfect age .

I was born in '72, so I gues I'm kinda lucky.
I was hooked when the "1999" album came out, that was around the time I really began to become a music fan (I got into Bowie that same year too). And yes, '68 is a great year to be born to be a prince fan, actually that's a great year to be born to be an overall music fan. ~KiKi

I was born in '67 and first got into Prince on Controversy. I've been around for most of the ride. But, it was interesting to go and find albums like Dirty Mind.

Couldn't agree more! I was born in '69 and you're right what you say about "living the era". The excitement of each new Prince release was unrivalled. I miss that more than anything now.
The excitement is still there, but you can't beat the feeling of hitting the Wrecka Stow on release day and seeing all the new copies of the CD (or vinyl as was) on the shelves. My only regret was I had tickets for one of the cancelled Sign 'O' The Times concerts. Little? Yeah, right. It might be little but it's loud
