So I've noticed. Decent threads disappear while they leave all the 'What fragrance do you think Ps farts emit' or 'Isn't he perfect in make up' stuff where it is. Funny ol place.

Old Friends is a blinder. Great that he's playing it, even if it is the bastardised version. Who's to say he'll play it live though, that's just a rehearsal. Fingers crossed he will eh.

I don't hate it but P's vocals are very unremarkable. I'm partial to the original version though and never liked the one with new lyrics, or this mish-mash version.

Yes there is nothing wrong being honest if you don't like something. I liked the R&R love affair song ok..this one rehearsal just isn't doing it for me.

Prince is certainly heading in the right direction with this track being revisited. It's great that he's acknowledging how highly regarded us diehards consider this track. And no overuse of back up singers on this one

A welcome return with the horns are- this is gonna be amazing live

I'm at school so I haven't been able to listen yet, but this makes me soooo bummed that I'm missing the Chicago shows. This is one of my all-time favorites, and even though I imagine I won't like the arrangement as much as the original or even the remake, it's still something I would kill to hear him sing live.

I hate to say it, but the selfish part of me wanted the Chicago shows to be the same thing he's been doing for the last 4 years or so, in which case I wouldn't mind not being there...however, it seems like it might be something a bit more interesting. So the selfless part of me is excited for all of y'all who will be there. Make sure you give us unfortunates good reports!

I could be wrong, but I see this track and "Extra Loveable" as a kind of olive branch to the hardcore fans.

Last night I was thinking of starting a thread called "Prince does care about his fans." I honestly think he does care about us. He wants us to see the error of our ways, stop recording his concerts and downloading bootlegs, and join the Jehovah's Witnesses. We don't want to do that. But I'm pretty sure that most artists out there don't care at all about their fans in the slightest except as a source of $$$. But I decided not to start the thread because I knew it would turn into a pointless flame war.
