i think im the perfect age for a prince fan born 1968 am i right or what?

i think i was so damn lucky to be born in 1968 as far as being a prince fan goes

i was 14 when 1999 came out perfect age to start getting obsessed with music

I then had best part of two years to go and enjoy his existing back catalogue all that sex and pervy stuff is great when your 14/15 made me the man i am today haha

the just as i hit 16 purple rain happens absolutely fucking perfect when your an adolescent its great when your (musical) hero is so damn cool

the when your 17 and you dont wanna run with the pack he comes out with some weird stuff like ATWIAD and you can be a bit avant garde lol a claim its a far betteralbum than purple rain whilst all the so called fans around you are thinking "what the fuck is that"

i hit 18 he releases kiss and tours England for the first time since 1980, book my ticket front and centre, what a first concert for a music fan " London i think i wanna dance"

i get to 19 he gets serious with sign o the times, im the perfect age to get serious!

anyway 1968 what a great yr to be a born and a fan of prince

i could go on but i know nobody likes to have to read to much haha

if your only 21 sheeesh glad your here but damn you missed a hell of a ride

I was Born in 61.

I remember Elvis,

The Beatles

Prince.

I was a Junior in H.S. when his first album came out.

I had brothers and sisters 10 years older than I who always

had the radio on.

1968 is almost the perfect age to be a Prince fan.

I, like Wendy, was born in 1970. THE perfect age smile.

I was born in '72, so I gues I'm kinda lucky.
I was hooked when the "1999" album came out, that was around the time I really began to become a music fan (I got into Bowie that same year too).
And yes, '68 is a great year to be born to be a prince fan, actually that's a great year to be born to be an overall music fan.

I was born in '67 and first got into Prince on Controversy. I've been around for most of the ride. But, it was interesting to go and find albums like Dirty Mind.

Couldn't agree more! I was born in '69 and you're right what you say about "living the era". The excitement of each new Prince release was unrivalled. I miss that more than anything now.

The excitement is still there, but you can't beat the feeling of hitting the Wrecka Stow on release day and seeing all the new copies of the CD (or vinyl as was) on the shelves.

My only regret was I had tickets for one of the cancelled Sign 'O' The Times concerts. sad
Little? Yeah, right. It might be little but it's loud
