TGE on Vinyl- question

So there are 2 versions of this Album on Vinyl.

One has the whole album on 4 sides.

The second one has it on 3 sides and side D is for the "Eye Hate U" mixes.

My questions is, is there any difference in the quality of the sound or quality of the recording/pressing of the vinyl??

Is the music on the 2nd version more compressed or something?

Thanx

hmmm

I have only heard the copy I have, the promo with the Eye Hate U mixes on side 4. It sounds great!

Thanx for your reply.

I just bought a used vinyl copy of TGE at discogs and I was wondering if the number of tracks put on one side has something to do with compression & therefore with sound.

I guess my copy will arrive in a couple of weeks (I've been waiting for a copy of this for a long time).

Thanx again cool

Interesting question. I have only ever owned the promo, and I didn't even play that one so I can't answer.

May I be cheeky and ask (roughly) how much you paid for your copy? I'd still like a copy of the standard vinyl.

I bought the standard version, (No Eye Hate U) Around 35 Euros + Shipping to Chile.

TGE is one of my favorite albums, and as I started collecting vinyls again this is one of the last ones I need for my Prince collection. Hard to find for a reasonable price & condition.

Thanks. Nice price.

Yeah, it seems to be quite scarce. I guess most people just hang onto them after they get one as I don't think it was a limited edition or anything of that sort, at least to my knowledge.

The promo is a nice thing, gold/yellowish vinyl, and each copy is numbered which is a nice touch. They seem to be quite easy to get hold of compared to the proper vinyl version. lol

I've only seen physical copies of the promo version. Only seen the regular one for sale online, never in person... confused
