Deal with it.

Don't go or put up.

Or write a letter to 7801 Audubon Rd in Chanhassen, MN, USA.

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

As part of PRINCE'S band and not the STARS, sure. I think often times it sounds a bit too much like a church choir and loses the funk.

Does anyone? Shelby needs a muffler for a start off, better still, keep her in a flight case without a mic. I could just about put up with it when they're backing him up. Wouldn't fancy it the other way around.

MY preference would be to see P with the band from the Montreux gigs. No backups, no horns, no f'ing dancers on stage. Just solid musicians laying down solid music. To me, that's what Prince is about, not all of this window dressing he puts forth now. The flashes of brilliance still break through but not nearly enough for my liking.

Do I really want to hear them? No. But as my Sweetie wisely pointed out yesterday (when I was bitching about this very thing), the girls serve an important function in multi-night runs: they give Prince a breather here and there, which actually makes multiple shows possible.

Until you are Prince's age, you have no idea what fatigue (vocal and otherwise) is like. As a performer, myself, I can tell you it is HARD singing at performance level for several days in a row. It's hard when you're young and only gets harder as you age - and your voice becomes less durable.

So while I may not like it, I try to be fair - which basically boils down to managing my own expectations.

Hell no.

Don't want to hear covers and non-Prince songs either.

er

I don't mind him giving his band members a chance to share the spotlight. If he didn't, folks would complain, saying, his band are just anonymous dummies standing in the background. Go figure...
As for the covers, most of them are songs that I like! And he's paying his respect to the artists that inspired him. Nothing wron with that, as long as he doesn't do too many...

I understand that Prince is getting older. So maybe it's time to adjust the way he does shows. He isnt on a schedule, out promoting a new album so stretch these multi date stays out. Instead of 3 shows in three days, do it in 6. May be more of a logistical headache but it affords him more rest in between shows.

What he's putting out now isn't up to his standards. Maybe his standards have changed, I dont know. I realize there are those that still enjoy his shows but the more I read reviews of his shows, the more I see the word "boring". That's not a word that was ever used to describe any facet of his career. Strange, self-indulgent, insane maybe, but never boring.

I do like Shelby's voice, it's simply tremendous!

Andy is improving in her field and she's also good looking, this helps..Her way of singing "the look of Love", waouh, this was a slap in the face! clapping

Look I love Shelby's voice, shes great and she has a distinctive look, a sexy but also throaty foil to Prince. Her vocals at the concert I went too were great, and its obvious Prince completely trusts her now any.

Shelby's here 2 stay.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Are you blind or unable to read?

I gave the alternative: write a letter. I even gave the address!

Or you should make a y000t00b vid go viral with you explainign how the show could be better, but that is perhaps harder to do.

So why whine and ask people that repsonded stupid questions?

If he needs a "breather" then he shouldn't be touriing again...and if he has people sing for him he should give them credit on the billboard as well. IMHO. N just saying

The ideal solution would be fewer, better shows.

I'm more of an aftershow kind of girl, so I could totally support this. However...people need to realize that the cost of those tickets would be crazy. The smaller the venue, the higher the prices (typically). It's a simple matter of supply and demand. shrug

Yes and no. I love their voices, especially Shelby's, so I enjoy hearing them. But do I want to hear them sing some dreadful Sarah MacLachlan dirge? Hell, no.

Then again, a chance to go grab another beer without really missing anything is always appreciated.
