EXACTLY! If those synth horns would have been looped underneath a drum machine, I would have been turned off because he made an album full of song like that called MPLSOUND and some songs 20TEN. His country and rhythm and blues infuences really comes across. It sounds like a song Tom Petty or Bonnie Raitt can sing. It has a very earthy sonic quality.

I like it - from what I heard think it is obviously about Andy Allo (I think he mentions 'when stars collide' which is on her album) - song seems like an intro for her...........so may not be from a new album

It sure would be interesting if he flipped the script, and you had to buy Andy's album to get his new one. I plan to buy it anyway, so....

More likely, I think, he's just putting this out there to get people talking, same as The View, to sell tickets in Chicago and copies of Andy's CD.

You don't have to hunt it down. He's doing the same thing that Anita Baker did a few weeks ago. Clear Channel stations are playing it throughout the day at the top of the hour. It just played at 10 am CST, so it will probably appear at either 11am CST or 12p CST.

Agreed. Both you guys are right. He's got so much in his instrumental arsenal that real horns would've made the song even better. I'm listening to the station online now hoping to catch it from the beginning(unless my boss comes by and then the radio gets turned down. Bad day to be at work)

That would have been a good time for those that are able to copy. The first time I heard it, the DJ talked over the intro. That one was pretty clean!

It'd be an interesting way to move copies of her album. I for one am going to buy it because I really dug her last album. I just hope the Prince "sound" doesn't drown out her own style.

I LOVE IT!!!!! To me its kinda got a 3121 sound to it. Sounds like it could've been an 80's Prince song. Hope he releases a new album like this!!! Also great lyrics, sensual.

Wow, I like it, it's catchy. He mentioned a line in the song 'When Stars Collide' and I noticed tthat that's the name of a track on Andy's upcoming cd.

Song does remind me of 'Take Me With You' and another one of his songs, that I can't remember right now. Sounds like the Prince from the 80s era/Purple Rain era.

It's a testament to Prince's longevity, musicianship and star power that hip hop stations/pop and even country stations are playing this song. I liked Prince's singing and his inflections. I hope Prince can build on this.
