relaxed like his hairdo. ! I wished he'd be more tight tho to rip things off for a change. It's a good radio tune so I agree, it goes well while cleaing the car etc.

Having a hit single is not that important to Prince anymore,he has already had many already. Plus he has had number #1 & #2 albums without one & still sells. U know expectations are too high on Prince, but lotta people forget that there will never be again huge hits as PR and the rest, cause they happen once or twice in a lifetime at the right time. This song is a radio promotional commercial song, so it is even not anything to discuss about. It's just meh.

Got a higher bit rate and listening through a good pair of headphones. So this song does have more bass than what I originally hear and his vox sounds better. This is my gripe with the net!! Music gets on the web at low bit rate and it will only sound as good as 99 cent speakers on laptops.

It’s decent song. It sounds like 1999 and Raspberry Beret had a kid and Tom Petty wrote some lyrics to commemorate the birth. But the production sounds cheap. The synths have a low end karaoke feel and that doesn’t mesh well with the huge clean bass part and twangy guitar accents that feel kind of country. Ultimately it’s impossible for me to listen to it and not just want to put on 1999. So it won’t go into my playlists.

I agree SpiritOtter though I like to call them Godly souls, being God created all souls.

My take on the song is this, it is a love song of sorts. I think the song is not really about Andy, but about two souls that were created for each other, finding each other.

and he is changing his ways, she likes the change: (by the way I think the "table" is a metphor for her being popular with men admiring her, not that she is doing anything on purpose to get the admiration)

And she said: "hello"

he knows that alot of men are waiting for her, he asks if he could get a chance to talk with her, she again accepts and gives him a chance:

She said "it's tight, but I think I can fit you in"

I think all the other lyrics in between are just the fillers to make the song fun, but reading between the lines this is what i came up with.....

All of the hate for this new song absolutely shocks me.

This is a really fun tune with a nice, laid-back groove, and pretty clever lyrics. (For once!)

i admit the track is growing on me big time....its understated nature gets under your skin....still think its a lightweight tune but its good lightweight tune...its the sort of track you can play over and over and not get sick of it...

this song could have been done in his sleep. maybe he needs more time off i dont know but he is 2 good 2 put out music so bland

This song is one of the blandest tunes Prince has ever released as a first single. It's utterly forgettable. And I've been a fan since forever like the rest of you.

A new Prince single used to be a cause for celebration. The songs were always thrilling, different, weird. It was an event. But for the past 15 years, Prince has been spinning his wheels, repeating himself with much blander versions of his previously recorded songs.

Sorry guys, I'm always starved for new material with that hope that I'll feel that same old thrill. But these days I'm like, A new Prince tune? Whatever. Same old. Not a shred of creativity here.

I don't hate it, I don't love it.

It's just what it is, a new song.
